✈️ Jethro Mobile Travel Prep & Tips

Traveling abroad is exciting—but staying connected while you’re away can sometimes be stressful. At Jethro Mobile, we want to make sure you have a smooth travel experience, with reliable service and no surprises along the way. Here’s everything you need to know to prepare for your trip.

📶 Coverage, Compatibility, & Carrier Locks: What to Check Before You Travel

Before you leave, take a few minutes to make sure your phone will work with Jethro Mobile:

  1. Coverage – Check the Jethro Mobile coverage map to confirm service at your destination.

  2. Compatibility – Your phone must be 4G LTE capable (or higher) and unlocked to work with our SIM or eSIM.

  3. Carrier Locks – If your phone is locked to another provider, you’ll need to contact them to unlock it before using Jethro Mobile.

📋 Which Jethro Mobile Plan is the Best Fit for Your Trip?

Different trips call for different plans. Whether you’re traveling for a few days or a month, we offer flexible options to fit your needs.

  • Short trips (5–30 days): Choose a smaller data package to stay connected affordably.

  • Longer stays (30+ days): A plan with more high-speed data ensures you don’t run out halfway through your trip.

Tip: Think about how much data you’ll actually use. Streaming video, for example, requires more than just email or messaging.

⏳ How Jethro Mobile Plans Count Days (and Why You Can’t Split Them)

A common question we get is: Can I split my plan into half-days?

Here’s how it works:

  • Your plan begins as soon as it’s activated.

  • Each calendar day counts as one full day of your plan, regardless of what time you activate.

  • Days cannot be split or paused.

👉 Example: If you activate at 9 p.m., that counts as Day 1.

🍁 Can I Use Jethro Mobile in Canada If I Activate Early?

If you’re traveling to Canada, here’s what to know:

  • U.S. plans must be activated in the U.S. and will not work if you try to use them in Canada first.

  • Once you’re back in the U.S., your service will work normally.

If you’re starting your trip in Canada, wait until you arrive in the U.S. before activating.

Tip: you may be able to use Jethro Mobile service in Canada when connected to Wi-Fi calling.

✅ Final Travel Prep Checklist

Before you head to the airport, make sure you’ve:

  • Checked your phone’s compatibility and unlock status

  • Pick the right plan for your trip length and data needs

  • Plan when to activate your service (don’t activate too early if starting in Canada)

  • Save your Jethro Mobile support info in case you need help on the road

With these steps, you’ll be ready to stay connected, stress-free!
